Updates and information on AHRC Nassau’s response to the coronavirus pandemic for people receiving our services and their families.

Updates:

March 2, 2022

On Wednesday, March 2nd Governor Hochul is set to announce an update to guidance regarding statewide mask mandates. On March 7th, NYSED is set to lift the statewide mask requirement for schools. However, masks are still required in all BCCS school programs until we hear from the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).

We will continue to monitor all communications from SED, OCFS and DOH and we will continue to require that all employees and children, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask while indoors within all agency programs and offices, except when eating, drinking, or alone in a fully enclosed office.

We greatly appreciate everyone’s ongoing commitment to the health and safety of our students and families. If you have any questions related to this communication or with any matter related to COVID-19 guidance, please contact Angela DiFazio, Employee Health Manager at 516-293-2016 extension 5456 or via email at adifazio@ahrc.org or Jason Persan, Assistant Director Human Resource Division at 516-293-2016 extension 5363 or via email at jpersan@ahrc.org.
