The Brookville Center for Children’s Services at SUNY Old Westbury provides children with a comprehensive early childhood experience, offering services for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

BCCS at SUNY was founded in 2003 in close collaboration with the College at SUNY Old Westbury.  The program continues to enjoy a close relationship with the SUNY Old Westbury administration as well as the Child Care Advisory board which provides endless support for the program. BCCS at SUNY, one of the first SUNY schools to offer on campus childcare, allows students who may not otherwise be able to finish their degrees continue their education. The SUNY system provides further assistance for the students with a block grant to assist with the cost of tuition.

The program offers developmentally appropriate, child-centered activities, providing opportunities for hands-on, integrated learning through real-life experiences.  The program utilizes a research based curriculum that aligns with the New York State learning standards. Children are grouped with a small child to teacher ratio. Children identified with special education needs are integrated into each of the preschool classrooms with speech, OT and PT services available.

The program includes classrooms with computers, smartboards, an indoor gym, outside playground and secure park like surroundings for nature walks and outside sensory/exploratory play.
