BCCS Residential Services for Children with Autism
Navigating the stages of child development can be a challenging journey for families, and sometimes intensive, specialized supports and services are needed for the child, and the entire family, to thrive.
At BCCS, we understand these complexities. Our Children’s Residential Program (CRP) is designed to provide person-centered services and supports for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) under the age of 22, who attend school at our Children’s Education Center in Brookville, NY. The program supports 25 children (18 boys and 7 girls) in four residences within Nassau County, NY.
What sets our program apart is the extensive experience and expertise in both special education and residential services for children with developmental disabilities. Our team works across program areas while fostering strong partnerships with families. This partnership creates an invaluable resource for children and families seeking the most comprehensive and intensive supports available.
Our Care Philosophy
BCCS’ services are designed with a person-centered approach, offering tailored support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to meet their unique needs. We prioritize academic growth, enhancing the child’s learning journey and educational experience. Additionally, we emphasize social development, encouraging meaningful interactions, fostering friendships, and improving communication skills.
Our dedicated team creates a nurturing environment that provides a safe space for emotional expression and improves the child’s emotional well-being. Our experienced teams, composed of trained professionals with special education and residential support expertise, collaborate seamlessly across various program areas to achieve positive outcomes. We also value family partnership, involving families in the support network to benefit the child’s holistic development.
