Holiday Memories at BCCS

At Brookville Center for Children’s Services (BCCS), the holiday season brings many opportunities for young people, families and staff to create memories, continue traditions, and showcase talents and skills.

Last Holiday Season at Marcus Avenue Preschool

As Marcus Avenue students and staff prepared for their big move, they made time to celebrate the holidays with fun and whimsy.

On National Ugly Sweater Day, students and staff dressed in their coziest, most expressive sweaters. They capped the year with several holiday projects including creating gingerbread people, glue snow art, and coloring pages featuring Santa and his reindeer.

At Westbury Post, students celebrated the final days of the year with a Spirit Week which included Fancy Dress Day and Pajama Day.

On the last day of school, they set up a hot cocoa bar for students and staff to make their own uniquely satisfying cups with several delightful toppings including marshmallows, crushed candy cane, and whipped cream. They also read holiday-themed books and participated in sing-a-longs during circle time.
