Marcus Avenue Preschool Comes Home to Roslyn
Next year, Marcus Avenue Preschool is moving to a new location in Roslyn, where it will provide students with increased opportunities to learn and play.
Construction is already underway at 440 Round Hill Rd. Formerly an elementary school, the property offers a robust foundation to support a learning center. Agency leadership actively searched for a space where the school could grow while still maintaining the same high standards of preschool education.
“It’s beautiful,” shared Paula DeVita, Director. “There’s a wonderful outdoor space with lots of lighting. It’s our own dedicated space and we’re looking forward to hosting petting zoos and ice cream truck visits for our students.”
While the Roslyn school is being retrofitted with preschool friendly attributes, like appropriately sized restrooms where students will learn to groom and care for themselves, children will continue with classes, learning and socializing uninterrupted in the familiar setting at New Hyde Park.
Throughout the process, parents will be informed of the progress through school communications and updates on Class Dojo. Further down the line, parents will be invited to tour the new building to familiarize themselves with their children’s new environment.
Currently, school administrators expect renovations to finalize mid-December for students to transfer to the Roslyn location in the new year.
