Marcus Avenue Students End Summer with Whimsical Bubble Show

Bubbleologist Daniel Garcia makes bubbles while a Marcus Avenue student laughs. For the second year in a row, Marcus Avenue Preschool welcomed Bubble Show Plus to campus for an exciting bubble extravaganza.

Playing with bubbles is more than just fun. It’s dynamic and hits several sensory touch points. Knowing this, Margarite Tagliaferro, the School Psychologist, along with the Marcus Avenue’s Parents’ Association brought back the interactive bubble show to campus.

“After seeing how much our students loved it last year, we knew we had to bring this exciting experience to our summer program once again,” said Margarite. “The show is engaging, sensory-focused, and provides a variety of meaningful learning opportunities. We were thrilled to offer such a fun and enriching activity for our students.”

Classes filed in one by one for their 20-minute bubble extravaganza session and looked curiously at Bubbleologist Daniel Garcia.

Daniel quickly captivated students with the many different ways to play with bubbles. As hundreds of bubbles filled the room, Daniel turned up the music for a dance party. Almost instantly, students wiggled and jumped around reaching for the bubbles surrounding them. Students laughed and gasped in delight as they explored the lively, bubble-filled space around them.

The bubble show thrilled both children and their teachers, as the bubbleologist used staff as volunteers in his act. Daniel built bubble towers in teachers’ hands and stacked bubbles on their heads.

As a final act, students were encouraged to step into a giant bubble. Brave students went on their own, excited to be engulfed in the shiny translucent film. Those who needed a boost of confidence stepped in with their teachers and giggled a little after using their little fingers to pop the bubble and break free.

After the show, students returned to class with a gifted bubble wand as a souvenir to take home and share the tale of their fantastic summer bubble adventure with family.
